The primary mission of Central High School’s College & Career Center is to provide a comprehensive resource center for all students and families, to offer college & career resources and to assist with post-high school planning in an atmosphere where EVERY student feels welcome.
Announcements: Broeren Russo's Mentorship in the Trades Program This mentorship program will provide young men and women with an invaluable inside-look into trade careers like carpentry & joining, ironworking, plumbing & pipefitting, and electrical work, as well as the engineering and management aspects of construction. Mentees will be paired with Broeren Russo leaders while completing real projects on a live construction site. Mentees will learn valuable skills and receive one-on-one attention.
Summer Construction Education Program To all sophomores and Juniors: Need a job this summer and interested in learning construction related skills? Education for Employment System #330 is accepting application for their annual Summer Construction Education Program, which will run from June 5th-June 30th, in Champaign. You will be participating in the construction of a Habitat for Humanity home, as well as visiting local trade unions. Upon completion of the program, you will earn a $500 stipend, an OSHA safety certificate, and 1 high school credit. For more information, please see Mr. Tanner in the College & Career Center.

Our Unit 4 students have the opportunity to learn from professionals in the various trades and put their newly learned skills to work in a building project. Together with the East Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades we are working to meet the high demand for skilled labor in our community. OUr students earn 0.5 high school elective credit in industrial technology upon successful completion of this two week program.
