International Union of Operating Engineers: Local 841 Apprenticeship and Training Trust : Apprenticeship Program Applications for the Operating Engineers Local No. 841 Apprenticeship Program will be made available beginning Tuesday, January 2nd through Wednesday, January 31st, 2018.
Applications and supporting documents may be obtained between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (EST) Monday through Friday at the following location: - International Union of Operating Engineers Local 841, 616 South Oakwood Street, Oakwood, IL 61858 - All applications must be picked up in person
To be eligible for Apprenticeship, the following basic requirements must be met: 1) At least eighteen (18) years of age by June 1st to apply. 2) Physically able to perform the work of the trade. 3) Have the reading, understanding, writing and communication ability as would enable the applicant to perform the tasks of an Apprentice in a safe manner and comprehend the subject matter taught in related instructions. 4) High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalency Certificate 5) Possess a current driver's license 6) Eligible to work in the United States 7) Take Aptitude Tests as scheduled by the JATC 8) Submit application and all necessary supporting documents to the JATC's office
