University of Illinois - Crop Science Open House Dates - Information about the undergraduate program and upcoming dates for "Visit Crop Science Days" - During "Visit Crop Sciences Days", students and their guests will learn more about careers and research in Crop Sciences! Ok, we can't teach you that, but we can teach you how to manipulate metal using a manual lathe. We'll also show you how to weld metal together. Well-suited to the maker-minded individual, this camp features hands-on, high-tech lab work using the latest industry technology. You will design and take home several projects. Use special tools, including GPS, to measure and draw what the earth's surface looks like. Broeren Russo's Mentorship in the Trades Program This mentorship program will provide young men and women with an invaluable inside-look into trade careers like carpentry & joining, ironworking, plumbing & pipefitting, and electrical work, as well as the engineering and management aspects of construction. Mentees will be paired with Broeren Russo leaders while completing real projects on a live construction site. Mentees will learn valuable skills and receive one-on-one attention.
