Announcements: Wisconsin's Private Colleges - Private College Week Visit With 24 colleges to choose from, the opportunities are plentiful. Tour a campus, talk to admission and financial aid advisors, meet professors, see a residence hall, eat the food, and meet current students. With special events all week, Private College Week (July 10 – 15, 2017) is the best time to plan your visit. Registration takes just a few moments. Illinois - Premier Boys State Boys state is a week long government simulation where participants are citizens in a mock 51st state. Throughout the week, attendees learn how the American political system works by participating in their own primaries, elections and assemblies. In addition to participating in the mock government, attendees learn valuable leadership skills and participate in a wide variety of developmental opportunities. - During the week, students gain first hand experience by: - Campaigning for elected office - Running the 3 branches of government - Competing for nearly $20,000 in scholarships - Meeting other talented students from around the state - Participate in intramural sports and other activities like band, broadcasting and lobbying. - Who is eligible? - Any male student who has completed his Junior and have one or more semesters in high school to complete is encouraged to attend Boys State. - The Best & the Brightest - Attending Boys State helps to enhance your college applications. Each year, Illinois Boys State attendees are admitted into the top colleges and universities in the country. University of Illinois - Crop Science Open House Dates - Information about the undergraduate program and upcoming dates for "Visit Crop Science Days" - During "Visit Crop Sciences Days", students and their guests will learn more about careers and research in Crop Sciences! They will speak with professors and current students over lunch (provided), tour research and teaching facilities, and discuss research opportunities within our Department. - Visit Days: July 14th, September 18th, October 9th - How Students Can Register: - Go to illinoisaces.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bQUX1vGAxN9sZMxto register for a visit day.
